Angle drive quill dimension

Is there anyone who happens to have a speedo angle drive sitting on a bench? What I am after is a measurement of the length of drive quill that protrudes from the round brass attachment nut. This would be from the outer rim of the nut to the end of the quill with the brass nut fully pulled out as if it were tightened up.

Just checked my spare angle drive and it measures 11/16" or 17mm

I have attached a photo of my angle drive and as you can see it the quill only protrudes by about 5mm. This was a new Caterham quill that I fitted, so I guess it is far too short!
