Speedo Angle drive removal in car..

PostPost by: mark030358 » Thu Jun 28, 2012 11:46 pm

I have an oil leak on a rebuilt gearbox on the S4 I'm restoring. Its from the angle drive. From the archives I know there is a seal and gasket in there. So is it possible to change these seals and gaskets in situ?

thanks

You can remove the angle drive mechanism from underneath, a bit fiddly but nothing out of the ordinary for a Lotus. I know that for a fact because many years ago mine fell off and destroyed itself being dragged down the road by the speedo cable
