Lotus 5 speed box

I have a Lotus five speed box out of a +2.
Can anyone give me an idea of the value of one of these?

There was one on Fleabay not long ago,I think it was up at ?1800 approx with no bids...it all depends how much one wants it?

It probably also depends on condition, has it been rebuilt by a reputable reconditioner or does it still have the standard heavy, imprecise shift etc. and (probably by now) worn bearings, synchro etc.

A good 5 speed box will sell for between ?1200 and ?1600 easily. You need to make sure you have the speedo drive with it, the mtg brkt and prop shaft. with these you should achieve your money. I did.
