Does anyone out there still have them fitted?
Does anyone out there any alternatives?
Does anyone out there have any photos?

Thanks
John

Hi John

I've have them for my car but at the moment I only got the smaller of the peices fitted. These are necessary as they support ends of the flexible brake pipes. Ill have a look and see if I can find some photos for you.

Hi John

The small shields you have fitted to your car should have four small (3/16" unf) studs welded to them and the large shields are mounted using these. You'll see the four small mounting holes in the photo. The large slot in the shields allows them to fit around the strut upright. There is a good picture showing how they go together in the Service Parts List in section JH

Hi John

I assume you're talking about the ones which attach to the lower wishbone.

I've seen these in the parts list too, but my car's fairly original and there's no evedence it's ever had them fitted, nither have I ever seen them on any other car I've looked at. I have my doubts that they ever really were use.

I too like andy and john have the small part fitted with the brake hose bracket, except the P/O cut off the studs. Recently there was a complete for sale on ebay (with the big caliper covering part) but they went for silly money something like ?150.

Would be easy to reproduce out of sheet metal if one had one to copy...

I've just knocked up a lightweight replacement out of a stainless steel strip and some damp proof membrane...lighter and rustfree..

I have the large shields which cover the whole of the wishbone underneath, if that's the ones we're talking about?

They are shaped at the outboard end to clear the disk.
