Clutch release bearing

Before I put the engine and gearbox back together, can somebody please clarify whether I should put any form of lubrication - white grease for example - on the front face of the release bearing?
Stupid question I know but not as stupid as having to take the whole thing apart again......

No Grease of any kind required.
Grease should be kept well away from the Clutch.
Will you be fitting a new Bearing or Clutch?
(Sorry if that question sounds daft)
It's worth doing, considering the work needed in taking the Engine out.

The manual recommends a touch of grease on the clutch fork pivot point where it engages with the bearing carrier.

Thanks for the replies - no grease then other than a smidge on the pivot.
John - fitting both new release bearing and clutch set. I agree with you that whenever the engine/gearbox are split it's good sense and practice to replace the whole thing.
