Will a +2 130/5 Diff/gearbox fit an S3?

Hi folks... Would a 130/5 late diff and a 5 speeder fit into a S3 without too much of a problem? Thanks....ED

You have to make up a new rear gear box mount but otherwise it should slot in nicely

I think you will need to shorten the drive shaft from the donor 130/5 as well.

Yes, you'll definitely need a shorter propshaft. Don't forget the clutch plate (different gearbox spline) and flywheel insert for the gearbox input shaft bearing.

As the other posts you will need to shorten & balance prop. Dont forget to obtain the 5 speed release bearing carrier & the flywheel insert as these are unobtainable & of course fit a new clutch plate while it is out. i used the 5 speed box mount complete & redrilled it. There was an article on this in one of the magazines i may still have it if you send a PM i will forward it if i can find it
