Clearly our Moderator does not like your pix. And I have no reason to question his judgement.

Back to the topic . . . I believe it was the Lotus rear differential . . .

I'm not sure that a moderator has done anything with the pics - at least, I'm not aware of it happening before.

The system rejects pictures at the time they are uploaded if they are too big - are you sure that's not what's happened?

Often people make jokes that aren't funny to everyone else but weren't intended to be snide so please don't take any comments the wrong way.

Ok no excuses now.

Cut 'n paste if needed.

Just trying to show the folks that may happen upon this situation the detailed parts and suggested replacements. I figured this site to resize pics if needed. not sure exactly why the pics show when I post but get removed (?) afterward.

Gotta have a dinner with dad and the family. More later.
Cheers!

Possibly the subaru forum website is refusing to deliver images unless you are logged into it.

It appears to have delivered a 1 by 1 pixel tiny tiny image.

Ahh well , we'll try to get it hooked up right sometime soon. To summarize: snapped axle , damaged diff. case at output flange , overall diff. pic when dirty , pic of rear cover looking like new after bead blasting , and a set of those suuuuwwweeeeeeet looking CV axles.

Both the owner and myself are away from the car for a week or so. We'll be back at it and try to post pics again soon. We've got a large community over in Subaru land so we've got a similar board but with goodies like your own picture gallery if you donate a few coins into the fountain.

Just glad to check back and still be welcome.

Again , pardon any crankiness. I work the grave yard shift ,etc..... .... ..... .... gets frustrasting sometimes in a situation like that trying to help others and getting slapped back by a stinkin' computer ! Is that some kind of Lucas internet you've got here? :P

See you guys next week. Enjoy the weekend !

So , before we go back down the old road , can someone verify that these pics are acceptable? No Lotus Hocus Pocus please ...

More if you like them. Really clean car , a pleasure to work on. Winter is coming , be sure to get your Subaru rear diff. working !

Looks good from my end , but then again it did the last time too.

So we ended up supporting the car with wood block atop the stands because to me these babies are like eggshells.

Those pics look fine.

Have you built in a light to see your diff filling plug or was that illumination from below.

Natty idea having a transparent cover over the hole you made in the boot.
