Salut John
Read that, too - synchromesh angle changed from 5? to 6? to improve life and action.
To my answer my own earlier question, according to the parts list there are only two types of baulk ring/synchromesh.

I believe so. There were various in service mods done to the gearbox. GB will answer any questions better than anyone on here IMHO..
Give him a ring. If he does your box rebuild I am sure he would use the best spec parts unless you stipulated otherwise Vernon.
All the best.

Salut
Well, I called Mr. Boulton again and he agreed to look at my gearbox. It'll be after Christmas, so only the 3.5 diff will be fitted now and the propshaft UJs changed (one is knocking which led to the idea of changing averything at the same time). I suppose I'll be able to evaluate both changes that way; though I'll be fitting some old-style Spyder driveshafts along with the diff.
Just need to find an economoical way of getting the box from Lyon to Norfolk - any ideas apart from Anyvan.com (Parcel2Go only pick up from the UK) ?

Ah, another old thread revival here, sorry. Alex, what lube did you use for run in? 20-50?

sorry for the very late reply.. Been away at Brighton for mod week and scooters etc... Sorry!
Yes a cheapo 20/50 from Halfrauds. The lotus box takes a lot of running in.
Follow Graham's advice to the letter.
Best wishes and best of health to everybody....
Take care
