Gear stick removal

PostPost by: Tomcat » Thu Dec 26, 2024 1:29 pm

I am removing the gearbox but before that I need to remove the gear stick.
The rubber cover is removed. I can see the plastic cover down through the gear shift hole. But I can not reach it.

Any suggestions?

Simply because it was handy at the moment I needed it, I used a piece of pvc pipe that I notched for the purpose.

All credit to Henry (SENC) for the picture as I believed I copied it from one of his posts.

Do You have measures on diameter inside and hole width?

Thanks! Special build tools are so valuable. Finding a tool in a shop what will solve this without destroying something seems impossible
