Play in gear stick and feels a little vague and loose

Hi Gents
I’m new to forum as off yesterday, Have enjoyed reading posts, lots of knowledge here I can see, I have purchased a 69 plate +2 which is in pretty good mechanical condition. Could I ask for some advice please, my 4 speed box feels just a little sloppy, I can find all gears positively but float between gears is loose and stick is a little all over the place before I select gear, can someone suggest what I could do to tighten it up, I did consider a quick shift option from Kelvedon but not sure if that help. Any advice is much appreciated.

check the anti sizzle bushing. Gary

Yes, check out the sizzle bush and also check the nylon cap is not winding it's way out.

A loose nyloc or roll pin on the gearstick is another possibility.

It was a split pin in where a roll pin should be just below the nyloc nut, managed to get correct size roll pin. Back to how it should be.
