Lotus S3-S4

Could some one tell me if the S3 and S4 differentials are posi traction and the gear ray too.

The stock diff in all Elans was not a limited slip, just plain open diff. If you're asking about the ratio, it is more likely 3.77, but could have been changed over the years, as well as the diff could have been changed to a quafe or Salisbury LSD.

As Roger says, standard differential ratio is 3.77 to 1, some of us have fitted 3.54 to 1, (which was a factory option at one time) and some racing cars have 3.9 (approx) to 1.

The S3 SE was fitted with a 3.55 diff ratio (according to the Lotus spec sheet of the time) and my S3 SE has this ratio fitted.
