Clutch adjustment - where is the gap?

Hello,
Can anyone confirm exactly where the 2mm of clearance should be when adjustimg the clutch? The diagram in the workshop manual shows the gap being between the adjustimg nut and the release arm - meaning that you would expect to see 2mm of the threaded push rod. Is that correct or should it be measured to the shoulder of the nut? Per the manual it seems very loose. I am not in a position to start the car yet so can't say how it works in operation. I've searched the archives without success.
Thanks
Steve

Hi Steve,
The diagram in the manual is incorrect, the gap is measured at the shoulder of the nut. This gave me a lot of head scratching recently, but, as you say, if you set it as the diagram shows, you'd hardly get any actuation, if at all.
Regards,
Adi

Have a look at this, it describes a problem I had and hopefully clarifies the where the 2mm is.
