lsd problems

My car has been laid up over winter and about 3 weeks ago i started getting it ready for an mot. I've been driving it up and down my drive a few times to make sure its ok and everthings been fine then on monday i reversed it down about 100 feet put it in first then nothing. I pushed the car back to the garage jacked it up sat it on stands and drove it on stands. It now seems to dive onthe drivers side ok but there is no drive to the passangers side dive shaft at all. The car is fitted with an lsd.
Its like the lsd has siezed on the drivers side. What i wonder was if any body had any ideas if there was anything i could try before i pull the diff out at the weekend.

I suspect you have sheared the diff output shaft inside the diff at the base of the splines on the side that has no drive

Yes,also what type of LSD do you have fitted?

Its a salisbury plated type lsd.

I suggest you jack up the rear, put it in gear and then manually attempt to turn each wheel. If wheel and drive shaft goes round then it would seem to be the diff.
If drive shaft doesn't go round but wheel does, then it's pretty straightforward to diagnose from there.
Good luck - I'll be wrestling my full race exhaust manifold back onto the car today. I think I'd prefer to pull a diff!

Thanks for the replies. Its defo the diff but i'm not 100% sure how the lsd actually works internally i know it shifts drive from wheel to wheel at the back and puts the power where its needed but just now its only driving the drivers wheel. Its like the drive is seized onto the drivers side only? Is that even possible ?and is there a way i could free it up without taking the diff out.
or am i just putting of the inevitable.

It sounds like you have the car in the air on stands and are running the engine with a gear engaged and only one wheel is turning, is that correct?

If so then its probably no more serious than a sticking brake caliper on the offending side, any maybe, just maybe the drive tangs on the plates have sheared making it a normal non LSD differential.
