Spot The Difference

I decided to repaint the pair of cowls on the steering column so I ordered new Main Beam/Dip and Indicator transfers.

The indicator transfer is fine - what I got was what I had selected.

The Main Beam/Dip transfer I received was not the same as the transfer I picked.

I picked a RHD transfer and got a LHD transfer.

Yesterday I emailed the supplier with appropriate images.

The response was:

"They look the same to me, one is upside down?"

I responded by saying that there is no way that the transfer can be attached to the steering column such that it looks like the transfer shown on your web site.

It's now over 24hours and I haven't heard anything since.

OK the cost is not much - but the "customer service" has certainly put my back up.

I know where not to shop in the futre.

I ordered and received correct LHD transfers (i.e. indicator on the left, headlamp full/dip on the right) from Rimmer Bros. Twice, actually, because I managed to throw the first set away during a clear up. :-( I fitted the second set immediately, before I got the chance to lose them.

Susan Miller's are for RHD cars (indicator on the right, headlamp full/dip on the left).

The ones I got were not mirror images. They were simple hot-water transfers - sliding off the paper backing onto the cowling - like you used as a kid when making model airplanes. And just as easy to tear while doing it. Ask me how I know (fortunately the join is invisible...).
