Clutch pipe routing

Having now completed getting the engine back into the rebuilt chassis I'm left with another puzzle, My S4 DHC came to me in a collection of tea chests and a loose smashed body shell resting on a bent chassis so I've had little clues to go on.

Workshop manual and Brians book dont show how this works so over to the experts.

What is the correct routing for the two solid and one flexible clutch pipes, The manual shows two L shaped brackets, which way do they face and under which bolts do they secure?

Have added a heat shield to stop the poor fitting SS pipes from boilling the clutch fluid and some more pictures to the set

Sorry to hijack the thread but, Neil, your salve looks like it mounted with the bleed nipple and inlet side to side (ie at the same level). Mine is like this also and I'm pretty sure I have some air trapped in it.

I read on here a while ago that the only way to bleed the clutch properly is to have the bleed nipple uppermost, but the gearbox shield is in the way on my car preventing me from rotating it.

Can I ask, do you have any bleed problems and if so, how do you get around it?

I use a vac bleeder I have a air powered one but like this one I made as it is not noisy unlike the air bleeder and you can see whats coming out ,the pipe in the jar is a auto type bleeding tube
You can help things by pushing the slave piston fully home when you use a vac bleeder.

Thanks Neil, that's given me an idea - I have a pressure bleeder which I dislike using as it's sometimes messy but I could possibly adapt this to work as a vac bleeder along with an oil suction pump I have. I'll give it a go - Cheers
