Side lights, a different solution!

Trawling the net last night and found this interesting solution to the problem of unsightly pitted chrome around your sidelights.

Not sure about the MOT though? , perhaps incorporate the side lights in the headlights and have trafficators coming from the vents in the side behind the door!!!!

Looking at the bald tyres and the Queen Boadicea type attachment at the front, MOT's are the last thing on his mind!!!

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but what is that vertical flat bar attachment in the front of each car? I've never seen that before; it certainly doesn't look like any of the tow hooks or rings we have on our race cars in the States. Doesn't look all that strong, but does look like a nice way of bifurcating whatever one hits...

The vertical bar is to break the timing beam for hillclimbing.You have to have 'bodywork' at a certain height at the very front of the body.
