Hi Guys,
I'm going to sound a bit like a salesman....
Changed my gearbox and diff oil about two weeks ago and on the prompting of my local Classics Garage also put in an additive.
The additive is Pro-Ma MBL8.
For the first day or two there was no change other than knowing that I would not have to change oil again for a while.
But every day since there has been a noticable improvement.
Mine's a Lotus 5 speed box and was a bit vague, sometimes very slow to change and there was always a little whine, a lot in 5th.
ALL the whine has gone. Box is practically silent.
Gear selection is nice and 'notchy'...more precise (still not race fast but good and comfortable).
It really has worked for me!
As soon as I've fixed ALL my leaks it's going into the engine too.
There is also a petrol additve from the same company, which I'll try at the next fill on the weekend.
Report to follow....
Take care,
Peter 1973 +2S 130/5 (No more whining!)
