Robinshaw and Ross lists the parts as follows
Pressure (Cover) plate - Borg and Beck HE 2846 or Ford 3020E 7563A
8 inch friction plate - Borg and Beck HE 1340 or Ford 3020E 7550A
I presume Borg and Beck have changed their numbering since the R&R book was written
regards
Rohan

HE numbers are clutch cover sales numbers which I think are usually on a sticker on the box. The 76251/33 is the component part number, probably stamped or printed on the cover itself.
The 8in driven plate is HB9738 if you find it in a box, or LCGF02101B for the plate alone (yes, a different numbering system - AP were renown for this...). There may be other numbers on the individual parts in the driven plate assembly too which can help/hinder identification...
Good luck!
Matthew

Hi Rohan, Many thanks. I do have the R&R book. As you say, numbering system probably changed over the years. Also, as Matthew says, sales number on box may not match production number on part. Probably dangerous to assume part is even in its original box !!!!
Best to go with actual number on part.
Hi Matthew, Many thanks. Sure are confusing these numbers !!!!
Seems there are at least two sales numbers for the clutch disk - HB1340 and HB9738. I'll go with the number on the part.
Regards,
Peter.

Can you help, with your Borg&Beck numbers.....
Part No 51580 and 53131,both numbers stamped on my friction disc on my 5 speed, would like to know which engine/car Colin "borrowed" it from?
Many Thanks
John

Sorry John, I only have limited information mainly for the 4-speed as I did not have or expect to have a 5-speed +2 at the time...
I would guess it was a specific design for the particular hub spline, diameter, and centre springs. It is probably made from 'standard components' common to other models, but the particular combination would be unique for this model. The number of part numbers on the AP system was staggering which is why I only have a few snippets...
