Gents,
How does the centre console on an Elan sprint come out?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure that mine just lifted off. Mind you that could be because previous owners forgot to secure it. I'll check tonite for signs of any obvious screw holes.

In my S4 I just lifted it at the rear to about 30 degrees and gave it a tug.

AFAIK gravity is the only thing that holds it in place. Of course the DPO may have got carried away and used some glue or screws :o

Same in my S4. No screws, glue, etc. Just gravity and friction.

Be sure to remove the gear stick boot to make things a little easier.

And the cigarette lighter....

I didn't have to remover my gear lever gaiter as it just pushes through the hole in the console. The gaiter on my car clips into a metal sheet under the console, so I have to take the console off first. No screws, just lift up from the back.
