Hello all, happy Monday.
I am part way into making a jig for checking and manufacturing.
I am curious if anyone has ever made an alloy chassis, and or if there is any reason for or against such?
Have some fun!

Because the frame is all sheet metal fabrications then the thickness of aluminium you’d need to make it survive would probably negate the assumed weight saving of the material.
The back bone as an extrusion like the Zenos used would probably work but you would need to replace as many sections as possible with them. You might get it to be ok then.
