Seats

PostPost by: steveww » Thu Apr 08, 2004 2:24 pm

The seats in my S4 have seen better days. Both covers have a few holes and rips. One seat I do not think is correct for the car, the back is shaped and leans to one side. This seat could have come from an S3 or may be +2 ????

I am thinking there are two ways forward here:

1) Try to find the correct seat and have both of them recovered. Not too sure how easy it would be to find a spare seat?

2) Buy new seats. Not original I know but easy to get hold of and in the small size required to find in the baby elan. New seats would have a high back which is safer and I can get one with harness holes, handy for track days. BTW: It has a Spyder roll cage fitted.

Any suggestions on where to get an old S4 seat from or experiences with fitting modern seats ?

With regard to recovering seats, try Mick Miller in Suffolk, it is a service they provide.

They might even have a spare second-hand seat in stock.
