Pedalbox LHD

PostPost by: rideaway » Fri Oct 20, 2023 8:42 am

Hello everyone,
I am in the process of finalizing the conversion from RHD to LHD of the pedals of my Lotus Elan S4 and I have a question about the height of the pedals at rest.
To get full travel from the clutch master cylinder, the clutch pedal is too high.
I noticed that the height of the master cylinders is different and that the length of the levers is different.
But when I took the pedal assembly into the car to check it before welding it all together, I realised that the height looked wrong.
I didn't take many measurements when the crankset was on the right, because everything was 'cobbled together' and nothing worked as it should.
Does anyone have the measurement between the pedals at rest and the bottom of the foot well?
And even better if the master cylinder stroke is complete in this configuration?
( in full stroke, the control fork comes up against the protective rubber )
Has anyone modified the control rods to make them adjustable, as there's very little room for that?
Thanks for your advice.
( I hope my message is understandable with the translator )

Best Regards
Stéphane

Stéphane,

I can take measurements for you later this week. Mine is a LHD S3, but it should be identical for series 4.
