What type of Windscreen rubber for plus 2?

Hi
My 71 plus 2S came to me as a stripped shell so I am not sure whether the windscreen was bonded in or not. When i removed it it seemed to sit in a rubber seal, but there was lots of hardened black gunk around the screen edges too.I’m had to chip it off. Does this mean it was bonded?
Thanks
Ian

Looks like a job well done, so onwards and upwards.
My 1968 +2 had the full ST.ST. Insert. My problem at that time was getting the correct rubber seal.
Getting one took several months, but during the waiting time, I was able to research all the techniques to fit the windscreen; most on this forum; including compressing the rubber, as it is known to shrink and having the joint at the bottom middle of the screen. So although refitting was not easy, particularly single handed, but it did go well.
