s3/s4 Windscreen rubber

I live a few miles from Macgregor & used all their rubber seals on my 69 S4. The windshield rubber fits just fine on the Elan with no problems. As previously mentioned it comes in one length so you cut your own miters.

Reading that and looking at the previous thread, there’s some measurements but any part numbers available, thanks Gordon

Quotes: 'This issue has come up before, it seems it's never been addressed by the suppliers'

'I know Sue Millers are not 90 degrees as I have one in my garage, and according to Paul at Chris Neils, neither are his'

Has anyone ever thought to mention it to the various suppliers that what they are supplying is not correct and does not fit as it should? It must be a simple job for the manufacturer to alter the mitred angle.

Hi,
I took this picture a while ago of my Sue Miller windscreen rubber. It’s not 90 degrees as far as I can tell.

Cheers

I recently purchased a seal from Matty's and it does fit reasonably well. Yes, one of the joints split apart when fitted but at least they have been cut at the correct angle!
