Picture Of The Glovebox Lock Thingy?

PostPost by: simonknee » Sat Mar 20, 2004 7:24 pm

Finally getting round to fixing all those little bits that don't really matter. It's a treat for the S3 since it's been so well behaved (i.e. cheap) for a year.
I've fitted a glove box with brackets fashioned after the pictures in the parts manual. However I need a "keep" (if that's what they are called) for the lock to latch into (NOT the touchlock type). There is no image of this in the manual.
Could somebody let me know a source or post a piccy or dimensions etc?

Good question, the yahoo groups have a file location but i don't know about this forum. Actually I got a look at the lock on Peter Sellers white elan, for sale at the classiccar show today! I then bought something that looked like it'd do the trick at the auto-jumble. Plus the long needed bulb holder for the main/dip indicator. And Miles Wilkins Twin Cam book. Good day all in all (specially since the Lotus won one of the 12 Palm Court Terrace spots right outside Ally Pally)
