S3 S4 door window weatherstrip fuzzy

PostPost by: gjz30075 » Wed May 13, 2020 7:13 pm

Does anyone know where I can get the window fuzzies as pictured? The fuzzy has a cloth woven
'tube' of sorts that is part of the outer edge, ie, the surface that mates with the window frame.
Although the calipers aren't right on the fuzzy, it measures .355, give or take a few thousandths.

I have been happy with his boot seal but I wish he would post pictures of his product
on his site. I will ask him for a pic or a small sample. Thanks!

Sue Miller also has these. A little less expensive.

But depends on shipping from Canada or UK.

Greg, I got fuzzies from him too. Just make sure and get extra clips. Many of mine fell apart on removal. Dan

I've bought several times from Macgregor, and the quality of the seals and wipers has been excellent.

Bringing this topic back to the top and want to ask: is this fuzzy, aka, door waist, aka, silent channel,
common to another known car? Probably British? Our vendors just aren't coming through for me
and I'm thinking this can't be that uncommon. Maybe Woolies??

Can't get through to Macgregor. I submitted an order via his site a week ago, and my phone
calls can't get through. No answer on an email, either. These are different times so maybe
that's it, too. If someone can confirm he's doing business, AND can do an order for me,
please pm me. Thanks

RD's are not correct. They may be for an S1,2 but not S3,4

In what way are RD’s incorrect? I have them on my S3, seemed to be ok. Inquiring minds etc.

RD's are too narrow and the windows still rattle side to side. The woven cloth covered rod is not
there. By 'narrow', I mean side to side, re: my first post with the picture. 1owners... picture shows
the same as mine. I'm looking for another set.

Googling 'image of mgb (or triumph) window fuzzy' shows what looks to be the same fuzzy as
Elans'. I just never paid any attention to this detail so I'll search out said cars to see if they're
the same (clips look the same, too). If so, it'll make ordering so much easier

MacGregors called me yesterday about an order I had placed online a week or two back. My 4yr old twins were buzzing around so I didn't get any details on why things were delayed. He did mention that the website wasn't maintained and the prices were from 12(!!) years ago. One thing to note is he only takes visa.
I can't comment on the quality of his goods yet, but he has been around for quite a while.
