Yesterday I put back my steering column and the following bits which align with the workshop manual
- dash (lotus specific) bracket with wiring shroud,
- U bracket mid point
- plate/rubber weather strip
- ignition switch/steering lock.

I was then left with this bracket (in my same storage box) which I can’t identify

Any help much appreciated
Thanks
Chris

I don't recognise that bracket at all, sure it came off the Elan?

Chris,

Looks like the bracket that fits on the steering column locating the locking steering ignition switch, assume your restoring a Sprint that will have this set up.

Could it be the mount bracket for a brake servo?

So that's interesting.... Cross posting the picture from the other thread:

The OP is missing the clamp to the steering lock.

Where do the bolts that go through the 2 holes perpendicular to the steering column go?

Anyone have a source for this bracket & clamp? - as I do not have one

Those two holes are to be at the top, (is your car RHD) the bolts locate to the bottom of dash aluminum stay and the steering assembly.

LHS have ignition on the left, RHS is on the right I recall.

You mean to the bottom of the main column bracket:

Instead of the bottom bracket?

Thank you very much for your replies - I can now see where it fits.
I knew there must be some logic to it being in the box with the other column brackets :D
My next challenge is I can’t find the throttle linkage for the 2 Dellortos
