Door Handle Position

Can anyone help me with the positions for the door handles? Does someone have measurements of where they should go.
Having stripped all the paint off my Elan and repaired a lot of the fibreglass defects including around the door handles which had a lot of cracking. I have no reference of where the original holes were.
A rather school boy error to make I know. I didn't take measurements before I enthusiastically proceeded with the repairs on the doors.

Ken_apple,
Is this for a plus 2 or elan? If a plus 2 then early or late handle. ( The later has a separate lock). I'm viewing on a phone so may be not seeing this info.
If an early+2 I can hopefully help as my doors are off the car and stripped.

I'm not sure how different the positioning is..mine is the earlier type. Have you tried a strong lamp.. can possibly see the repaired area. I had a similar issue with the nose badge and was able to find one of the holes.

If someone has a stripped door I'd recommend the brass rubbing approach onto a suitable size of paper. Ideally get several datums.. eg door back and top edge plus the lock mechanism holes, etc. This should be marked with a scale so it can be accurately reproduced after emailing.
I used a similar approach to find the mirror and visor mounting holes after replacing the headlining.
