S1 Windscreen frame restoration

Good afternoon to all
I am starting to remove the original black paint and gummed up mastic from a S1 windscreen frame [the Bourne bodied S1 apparently had one bolt hole per side, the Cheshunt S2 has two according to kind folks on this forum]., which I plan to fit (when finances permit) to a new S2 body.
Before I go much further in rubbing it down with Emery paper, I wondered whether anyone has tried this before ? If so...
A. Will the S1 frame line up advantageously with at least one of the two holes on each side of the S2 body?
B. If the answer to A is negative...are there any bright ideas to solve the problem out there?
C. The frame is extremely flexible, but thankfully undamaged, does anyone have any suggestions to improve it / make it more rigid?
D. I understand that the "original screen frame" will have a better fit than the remanufactured versions. Can anyone confirm this and the reasons why ?
Many thanks!
