Bedliner paint the interior?

Folks,
The carpet in my S3 is in tatters. I began pulling it out. Most of it is rotten and faded. I?m considering not replacing the carpet and spraying the interior with bedliner (Raptor liner) paint instead. It will give it a minimalist look kinda like the Elise ? more of a track-ready feel.
Thoughts? Good idea? Bad idea? Bad for resale? I figure I could always carpet over the bedliner if needed.
