The problem with bumpers..

Hi
I've been thinking. My Plus 2 bumpers need re-chroming, but we seem to be talking about the thick end of ?300 per bumper.
So I wondered what alternatives there are, after seeing a US car show use a chrome vinyl wrap on a car body. I bit of searching around uncovered these two videos:
Has anyone tried any of these on a Plus 2 bumper, and if so how good were the results? Any other thoughts?
Cheers

I looked at wrap and also aluminium vacuum paint.
I bought replacement bumpers...
But I did paint my old ones and ran with them for about a year... now for sale In the parts section.

I bought a replacement rear bumper, didn?t like it and sold it on. Had my original re chromed at Derby plating, expensive, but it?s the right shape and fits better than the replacement did. Bite the bullet and get yours rechromed.
Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine!
