Elan S2 - black painted parts

I'm about to have my Elan S2 painted and want to confirm the correct original finish of the parts that are painted black. Should they be gloss, satin or matt finish? The parts are:
windscreen frame;
door trim bits;
battery box;
Can anyone help with this please.

I think the all of the parts you listed were originally gloss, but it looks terrible, so I think most people go for satin.

On my original car they are all gloss gelcoat

[Lotus14S2]

On my original S1 Bourne body the parts are painted something between a gloss and satin.
It almost looks like a spray can lacquer.
The window frame on my car is painted. The battery box, and other black parts are sort of a rough finish, and they look to be a satin paint, but on the S1 the battery was in the cockpit, not the trunk.
The window frame might have been a gloss, but not a rubbed out of clear coated type.

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to the Lotus 70 event this weekend, so hoping to see some S1 & S2 so I can see how they look.
