Very early Plus 2 front seats ??

Can somebody shed some light on two seats I have, that purportedly came out of an early Elan plus 2 before they made the move to the plumply upholstered seats.
They are similar (same?) to the Elan seats but do not have the front hinged cross rail and adjuster fitted. Instead it was designed to use adjustable sliding seat runners.

Barney.
My Jan 1968 +2, has the same seats, they only have the rail adjuster, to adjust forward and backward movement only and are hinged at the front for back seat access.

It sounds like I have the same, +2 '68, with the toggle switch dash.
The seat bolts to the runners at the front such that it can be lifted to access the back seats. I believe federal & later cars may have a hinged seat back ?
I also think the covers are the same as those fitted to an S3 elan, if anyone can confirm or otherwise as I require a repair or recover of my seats and have seen a few adverts for this service on S3 seats.

These are the early, pre 'S' seats, used from 1967 to 1969. The Federal seats had built in headrests.

I've got what appears to be early Federal seats in mine (my car is a '67 non S). They have the runners and fold forward to allow access to the rear. Unsure if they are original, the car was initially provided as a kit to the UK before making it's way to Australia early on.

Adrian.
Sue Miller lists Seat Covers on the Website for S1 -3 -4 and Sprint and possibly the +2.
