Replacing Door Panels?

I'm planning to rebuild the door panels. The vinyl / carpets outer skins are OK but the hardboard (?) inner skin is warped and bent.
Any recommendations on a suitable available alternative? I have heard of Automotive Panel Board. Is this available in the UK?
My plan is to gentle remove the inner (interior) skin. Cut a suitable panel and check for fit, was this originally covered with a thin foam layer? Then, using contact and staples, replace in vinyl/carpet.
Any forseeable problems?
Cheers

Hi Vince
I recently did mine , the panels are made from fibreglass , but quite thin and flexible
I got new steel fixings from woollies and the embossed vinyl , i used standard contact adhesive and a polyethylene underlay instead of foam. My original foam had turned to dust.
The only tricky part is stretching the vinyl into the deeper recess of the because it has a backing and does not stretch that much.

Steve,
So I could make my own or replace with suitable thin plastic sheet? Having had a quick look, it appears that the inside of the door is not flat so, any panel would have to be quite flexible.
Ever heard of Automotive Panel Board?
I would be interested in teh bits (fixings & polyethylene underlay) that you used. If it worked then that good enough for me!

As it happens the door cards are fine! As are (most) of the metal clips in the doors.
Its the plastic bits that hold the metal clips in the doors that need replacement.
I assume these are Lotus specific? ?14:10 + ?15:96 delivery (?30:06!!) seems a lot for tiny plastic cups!

Is there an alternative? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282413988136 ?
