S4 REAR BUMPER

Hallo!
Anybody knows why my broken rear bumper of my S4 1968 shows an hidden hole in the resin ?
It seems that there was a sort of bracket fixed in the resin where probably a screw coming from inside the boot holds the bumper in the centre maybe for some additional rigidity.
The brand new spare bumper has no hole and no bracket in that position .
Do not ask me how it was before dismantling because I'm assembling now the baby Elan that has been delivered in thousand of pieces.
Does your rear bumper show that bolt/nut/screw in the centre ?
Ciao

on my S4 stock front bumpers there is a flat fiberglass plane about 4" wide (on top of the foam, a bit below edge level) to which a bolt is attached through the shell (a bobbin of some sort must be held by the flat, behind the foam). Maybe someone was tempted to do the same at the rear...

Both bumpers on my car are attached at the ends only, no flats or holes in the middle.
