Correct colours

What are the correct colours for the dif and gearbox within the baby Elan.

I am by no means certain and are happy to be corrected but I used to work for Ford many years ago and from what I remember the diffs and g/boxes were black, I can't imagine Lotus painting them any other colour as this would just add cost (and weight :lol:

)
As I presume Ford supplied Lotus black would be my guess.

Thank heavens for that. I have seen many colours placed on Elan diffs over the years and have always thought it would have been black. Appreciate that Brian.

My 1968 S4 Elan had a dark green gear box case and a black diff nose originally.
