Not sure what you mean by the Chrome side strip. Are you referring to the rain rail that goes above the door? If so I have both sides

John,

I found a piece of SS trim but I am not sure it is from my Lotus (took it apart 25 years ago) and also took a part a VW Rabbit. Not sure which it is from. If you or anyone else has a picture or dimensions I will check it out when I get back after the 4th of July.

Just post the picture here and I check it out.

Hi smokey,

That would be great, I Don`t have a photograph just now but the dimensions are 1" wide x 68" long, one edge is rounded and one kind of tapers in.
Thanks for your help

John,
I assume that you mean the strip that runs along the sills. They come up on Ebay from time to time as people break +2s for spare,

Hi. I bought a set of the clips that hold the strips in place from Matty. From what they were saying there are two types. I don't know whether they had any of the actual strips in stock though.

Regards.

Sean.

the stainless steel strips go along the tops of the door............

as for along the sills dont you think that all those screw heads need covering .
any suggestions ??

i have a offside strip available [that is right hand side looking from behind the steering wheel]
?30 +postage [which is exactly what it cost me]

I think that the sill strip that Robin was refering to goes just under the door along the top of the sill, not at the very bottom of the body covering the screw heads. To hide these most people paint the and screws matt black.
