metal side strips

PostPost by: martinbrowning » Thu Jun 21, 2007 1:27 pm

Hi there,
Can anybody tell me where I can get the fastenings to fix the metal side strips onto the car (they run along the body just below each door). I've tried all the usual outlets including Mick Miller. Thanks

Hi

Have you tried SJ sportscars? They have little hard to find bits.

The original equipment clips were metal now unobtainable. The nearest equivalent if my memory serves me correctly is a plastic clip from I think a Citroen BX. Can anyone else give a lead on this. It's been years since I last did mine.

Martin,

I'll be surprised if these people can't help you ..............

http://www.bresco.com/

It looks like they stock most of the popular classic moulding clips

I got them from Bresco. I measued the originals. I seem to remember they had them listed for an Elan.

Get extras. They seem a but small but are concave and will "lengthen" when tightened onto the door.
