Body Repairs

Sometime soon I'll be needing to start making some repairs to the body of my S2. I'll need some tissue for the gel coat and some thicker pieces for strength where I have some cracks, together with resin (if thats the right word). I have done glass fibre repairs before (about 20 years ago!) but then I was using somebody elses gear.
Having never actually bought this stuff myself, I don't know where to get it from! Can anyone recommend a good supplier (in the UK) who'll deal with the little people?
Also, while I'm on the subject, has anybody made modifications to the boot (trunk) area for added strength? My S2 boot is itself cracked in the middle and probably should be replaced, but the whole area at the back of the car is very weak and looks cracked in the centre. Previous owners have probably sat on it. I'm thinking it will need some extra fibre glass with possibly some wood grafted in to make it stronger? Has anybody out there tried this?
Thanks,
Matt

You can also buy smaller quantities of tissue, mat, resin and hardener from Halfords. Not the cheapest but handy for when you run out on a Sunday afternoon!

If you live near W.London there's a good shop in Brentford high street, think it's called the Fibreglass shop but not 100% sure. There's Canvey Yacht Builders in Essex but they're expensive now to get resin delivered. An internet search might reveal a few others or a flick through some of the kit car magazines.
For re-enforcement work I wouldn't advise the use of a bit of wood ! What you might want to use instead is the 'paper' rope you should be able to get from the fibreglass suppliers or a natural fabric rope which will also soak up the resin and can then be finished off with a layer of 350-500 gm chopped strand mat laid over it. Effectively you've built a 'box' section which is very strong. I've done this on the nose of my elan to stiffen it up and it would work just the same on a thin boot lid.
