Sound Insulation

Hi All, anyone out there have any successful experience of sound insulating a +2S? If so - where are the most effective areas to treat and what materials would you recommend?

Thanks in advance.

Wayne, I don't know if this will apply to your situation. This is one solution I used. When I was restoring my S3 Elan coupe I used a paint-on sound proofing from a company in CA. US called Quiet Solutions. http://www.quietsolution.com/ Go to (Quiet car) Three coats reduced the DP level by 20. That is what they claimed. I have no way to confirm it but it is much quieter. I painted the entire interior, including the roof, doors and trunk. Then installed the carpet pad and carpet. It kills the sound vibrations from passing thru the fiberglass. If I had a radio I could hear it. Just an option, it worked for me as I had everything out of the car, including the dash. I can still hear the webers when I excelerate.
Have fun, Sarto
