Gents,
I have been hit by way too much work leaving my S3 coupe stranded for a couple of years. Things are clearing up, with a new job giving me loads of spare time. Now Im considering to get myself a lift. I have been following this thread and have been impressed by the Maxjax lift. I did however see this wdw lift at the Essen motorshow last weekend (wdw-lift.de) . Anyone that has experience or thoughts on it ? My primary jobs will be body restoration and final assembly of my new TTR frame / body assembly etc. I sort of like the versatility of this german lift that can be used with outriggers (probably wrong word), a big plate (usefull when working the body) and even ramps if they are bought with it.

That seems a good alternative, Holm. As with most scissors-type lifts, the drawbacks will be more restricted access to the underneath (as compared to 2 or even 4 posters) and the floor space it will occupy when not in use. I considered the Nussbaum Sprinter, which is a similar product, but decided against it for those reasons.
But it just might suit your needs and your space.

Thanks Andy,
Usefull considerations. One thing I like about this design is that it can be moved around quite easily and that it can be stored vertically when not in use.
