Please post photos. I think Regency really suits the Elan.

Last time i checked the body was still on the dolly un-touched and completion of the project TBD - anyways here is Carmen Red on a 63 S1

Looks really good. Maybe I should have gone for Carmen instead of Tartan.

Thanks Tim. I really like mono Regency and Colorado on Sprints, but my own Sprint rolled off the line in Gold Leaf colours, which is okay, but I could never bring myself to paint it in any other colour scheme.

I think this is a good example of a "First World problem'' - I need to get grip:lol:

Here in Canada I also struggled with what red to use. I ended up with GM / Corvette Bright Red. They have used this popular colour for a long time. My Corvette specialist painter was familiar with it and could easily formulate it for fibreglass.

I really like the colour, and think it has slightly less orange tone than the original Carnival Red. An added bonus (at least in North America) is touch up paint is easily available at any auto parts store.

Just some ideas.

although not totally period correct.

I'm thinking about repainting my car. My car was L05 carnival red.

Given I'm in Australia and one of the northern parts I'm a bit worried that Carnival Red would look a bit washed out in the intense light up here.

On reading this I looked at an Elise in "Ardent red" on the weekend. I'm thinking it would look darn good on an elan.
