How high do I need to lift the body?

I had removed and cleaned the side sills. Being a desert car the sills and chassis were not rusted, just dusty and in need of new paint. The support visible in front of my friend was to support the roof truss near chain hoist but I don't think it was really needed. Just cautious. Body was bare, nothing but sills. Gary

Checked and about 6'6"' (78") between garage floor and roof at rear, so based on answers (thanks) I should just about have clearance altho was planning on using a wooden frame with couple of manual wire hoists which will eat into it. I need to sort out rotisserie for other shell first to gain width for Elan sill work.
Cheers for help!

Sorry to be ambiguous.
I have removed my bodyshell and I measured from the floor to the highest point of the rear shock tower with the wheels on. If you are critical for headroom you could remove the wheels, put skids under the hubs and pull the frame out. If you have the space to pull it out sideway would require even less headroom. The difference is on account of the transverse tunnel over the rear axle in the body tub.
Just been out and looked at my frame and the body. To do a sideways move you might be able to get away with little over a foot - to do it fore & aft about two feet. (34.5" minus 6" +/- ground clearance of the body). The front end doesn't look so critical.
Let me know if you need more dimensions.
Jon.
