In the US it's called out as fiberglass veil and is widely available. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEFTDkIXOTU
Also available in carbon fiber.

I use the P40 as a one stop repair, P40 is a 2 part glass strand reinforced polyester resin base, very simple and clean to use when compared to the glass cloth and separate resin. It can be applied in a thick or very thin layer.
In my opinion a near perfect solution for your repair, but remember any repair is just stuck on to the existing fibre glass so clean dry surface, as with any adhesive, is needed for a good bond.

Just a quick note to say Thank You for all of the help here. Got the crack and hole filled, as well as the items that needed attention in the trunk.
Fiberglass work is fun, but I say that not having had to sand anything yet. Grin.
Thanks all.

Good morning gentlemen, early Happy Thanksgiving for our USA community members.
How would you recommend removing the fiberglass bulge/protrusion on the bottom of this to allow for more clearance and fitting a heat shield? Large cutting wheel?

if you are getting into fiberglass seriously, the first 2 tools I would recommend are an oscillating saw (cuts clean with little dust and vibrations, esp. with a semi circular saw) and a small electrical file (esp. for chanfering and surface preparation prior to glassing in pieces together or adding layers)
