Can anyone tell me if there is supposed to be a gasket between the window frame metal and the door itself?
It seems that there should be something to prevent water ingress under the chrome horizontal strip where it meets the fiberglass of the door, but I haven't seen it shown anywhere.

Mine had a few packing pieces when I took it apart but no 'gasket'
However it had been resprayed before I got it, so anything could have happened.
I put some clear silicone in to make a bit of a seal.
Corrosion isn't a big issue but one would rather keep water out.
