Salut
Simon at Aldridge told me ?480+VAT for a complete re-trim (not including foam) and ?275+VAT for covers only - for an early +2. Surprised they can't do the +2S.
Jeremy - how much did you pay for your MGB seats?

I was surprised at the 99p, but that's the gamble of Ebay! I had 15 watchers, but no bids. Perhaps I should have prodded via Elan Net!
The MGB seats were ?200, including the runners etc and were supposedly freshly re-trimmed (in period vinyl). They were re-trimmed, but I spent ?50 at a trimmer specialist to tidy them up and get them stuffed properly and the covers sitting right - worth it. They use the MGB runners with two steel strips welded onto them and bolted onto the floor using the standard bolt holes.

Hi,
I've had replies now from both Newton and Aldridge - they can't help with the foam, and I've tried some other potential suppliers.
Since I was only repairing the front seats I had wanted to maintain the original style including replicating the welded sections in the basket weave centre sections, which whilst possible was definitively too expensive as the material supplier would only run off 20m of material. The foam in my seats has started to crumble some time ago and has to a large extent disintegrated.
Anyway I had a chat with the trimmer this evening, and got a final estimate. The cost to make the foams, install webbing to replace the perished rubber, remake the wooden backs and re cover was just too much. So for now I'll get back to getting the bodywork prepped and have a think /save up for the seats.

Hello Gizze
I've got a good pair of +2S seats that were re-trimmed in leather some time ago. They're not perfect - leather is good but I think the passenger seat is no longer adjustable for recline.
However:
1. I live in France
2. I would only potentially be interested in a swap for some good +2(not S) seats - even better if they were federal.
