It could be 2 BA, if I remember correctly. Slightly more coarse compared to No 10.

Good stuff. My 26/4050 is missing these all together. It would be nice to find the parts some day.
Piss-Ant,
I'm glad you posted pics of 4045's boot light protectors. Mine are missing, and I wasn't sure if they were like yours or the squared off version. Since we're only 5 numbers apart, I'm assuming they are the angled type like yours. I know they are available from the 26 register, but I was hoping to find a set locally.

The trapezoidal tail lamp protectors like 4045 is for the L551 and L539 as well as the 4 L691 individual lamps. the one from 4997 is for the L684 S2 - S3 type lamps (the S3 didn't use these protectors).
the tail lamp bolt spacing is different.

Great pictures , I was wondering how the window locks were activated.
I'll probably have to make some of those tiny levers up myself as I do not think they are available.
Regarding the door handles, I have a long version (full of holes as a weight reduction excercise ) and a shorter version that I bought from a fellow member.
Were the short handles for the S1 and then they invcreased in size for the S2 ?

Gino,
I believe the long pointed type were used on S1 and early S2 cars and when they were used up the shorter type like Jacks were used on the S2 cars, also have a look at this thread.

Thanks for the info....doubts now cleared up.
I have an S2 with the long pointed handles so I presume it is an early version...september '65 which are full of holes but then I was lucky enough to find some newly chromed S2 shorter ones so I think I'll be using these.
