Side Windows

I am renovating a 1963 S3 S/E FHC baby elan which came with scratched perspex side windows. I have since had a new pair made up but I get the idea that the original car had glass side windows in the doors.
Can someone please tell me if glas or perspex is original and /or deisrable

Elan Fixed Head Coupes (FHC) had glass side windows.
But, there were no 1963 FHCs and neither were the Series 3's produced in 1963. How sure are you of the year? What is the serial number?

Thank you for your reply. I typed the date wrong it is a 1966 S3 registration KKD56D. It has S/E badges but there is no note of special equipment on the V5 I have.
The car came with perspex side windows and no working window motors. I found a local firm who made up two new perspex windows and I have located motors. Somnething I recently read gave me the idea that the car should have glass windows.
I guess I could shop around for glass side windows and offer the new perspex ones on E-bay and the forum.
Your advice would be appreciated.
thank again

Mine are also glass, 36/6278, built Nov 1966. I would expect the perspex to scratch moving over the weather seal. But, then again you have added lightness! Colin would like that.
