s4 door handle pull access

For those with S4s that have the pull handle bolted to the basket weave, what is your preferred
method to remove the forward most screw of the pull handle? They have phillips headed bolts
with a very small lock nut on the backside. The rearward one can be accessed through the large
hole in the fiberglass (used to fiddle with the lock mechanism) but my arm (small arm, too) won't
reach the forward one.

I should clarify that this is in a fully assembled door. Window is up.

At the back of the screws there should be U shaped metal clips not nuts. The screws are like self tapping screws. So no rear acess needed.
Remove the 3 screws and unclip door panel. Ease door panel away and turn and slide pull handle through hole.

Greg, I remember having the same problem getting the handle off on my late S3 SS, it had the same inner handles as S4’s, as I recall I found out what size the nut is (by getting the size from the front accessible one) then welding a spanner to a length of rod to extent it.
Then with a lot of fishing about I managed to get the spanner on the nut.
Putting the nut back is also a mission as you have to line up the nut with the hole (nut held in spanner with a dab of glue) and attempt to get the screw screwed in……I think this is how I did it ………patience….. patience…. patience….
At the time someone told me to cut another access hole but I don’t think I did but it’s an option

Once the screws are removed could you fit alloy "Rivnuts" in the door panel.

Alan, you beat me to it. I was about to post that a good solution would be to fit rivnets, or something
similar.
