Just going through a file when I came across these three stickers. The top one is a modern reproduction, the middle sticker is original, made from paper and has gum top and bottom. The third sticker is what I think Lotus used on sales cars, it's plastic/vinyl.

I think you probably bought the original gummed paper one from me some years ago ? I also had some repros made by a company we dealt with when I was working. Still have some in fact, both exterior, and those that stick to the glass from the inside.

Rob,
These stickers purported to be 1963 are using a much later Lotus emblem. The serif font is wrong for 1963 and even later (eg 1969).
Worth a point?

I submit the following evidence to the independent judges:

Did a serif badge really exist in 1963?
Malheureusement, pas selon les informations ci-dessus. Pas avant environ 1985.

The badges on the cars were sans serif but the avec serif Lotus logo was in use on other things such as transporters and literature etc. .
Absolutely. I just spent a very pleasant half an hour with a cup of coffee and my collection of Lotus brochures, price lists etc. It seems that type of script was used by Lotus on their literature between '63 and '67.
The pile of work on my desk has not gone away...

Hello, would you be interested in selling the new sticker? My dad and I are currently looking for one to go in our Factory 26R replica. No problem if you don't want to.
Best regards, Peter
